cop question

on the 5.4, what is the general opinion as to why the coils go bad? I spoke with a ford tech the other day and he said the boots go bad.

i think someone said its #3 that goes out alot because of the water line directly above. i miss plug wires and one coil.

The back passanger side one is real bad to go out because of condensation off the A/C lines drips and cracks the casing, They do not like liquid especially antifreeze, cracked boots, spring not on plug good, heat,
