Im taking out leaf springs on an old rusty truck, and were having troubles getting the bolts out, we melted out the bushing, but now the metel core in there or what ever its called is stuk around the bolt making it impossible to get out, anyone have any tips and tricks on how to EASILY remove them or a better way, cause I know its not going to be easy.

This is what I'd probably do if I was working on the truck (your mileage may vary)

Take a disc grinder and cut the head off the bolt you're trying to remove
Use an air chisel or something similar to force the bolt into the "core" at least the thickness of the shackle/bracket
Cut the threaded end of the bolt off flush with the shackle's surface
Force this end of the bolt into the core enough to make it clear the shackle
Beat the core/spring hoop out of the shackle with a BFH

I use to use hammers, now I use a ball joint press, hydraulic press, or an air hammer. The ball joint press works best, just place the eye of the spring over a cup and hit the tool with an impact gun.
