I now have a plate that is from 1978 when the plates were replaced each year and the numbers on it are also 1978 that I can now register and put on my Ford as "Vintage Plates" as it is over 25 years old . i have not bothered to do this yet but will soon .
I gave up trying to figure out what most personalized plates are supposed to depict when people pay the price for them and nobody but themself can figure out what they are supposed to say .
I believe that my license plate number is very private and personal, something known only to me and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. I do not share it with the rest of the world; frankly, I don't think it's any of your business. That's why my plate reads:
UNLISTD.
And, while anyone can get their name or initials on their plate, I'm the only person in all of New York State with an "UNLISTD" license plate number.
