01 Ranger wiring

I have a 2001 ford ranger and im trying to put a after market cd player in but dont know the wiring

Go buy a plug kit. It may cost you $15.00- $20.00 but it is well worth it. Just install the plugs into your original wiring harness, and hook up the pigtails to the new radio. The radio manufacturers have gotten their act together, and there is now an actual standard color code for aftermarket radios. Too bad the OEM's can't do the same.

ok wires are in place but havent found the battery wire for the 01 ford ranger does anyone know what color the battery wire is? and the illumination wire

See if you have a lightgreen/yellow that is hot all the time, a yellow/black that is hot with the keyswitch on, and a lightblue/red that is hot with the lights on.
