Was informed yesterday that they cannot realign my truck the 87 due that either the wheel bearing's need repacked or replaced the coil springs replaced along with the coil springs spacer's. So that means i have to next week go buy said parts plus 6 shocks since i have the duel front shocks. Would be a waste of money to replace all that and not the shocks.
Seems like when you go to do one thing then you end up having to fix a whole lot more. Had the same thing on my 89, I had to replace the coils before I could align it. Turns out that when I got the coils replaced it put the truck back into proper alignment. LOL
You were lucky then but it has to be done if i don't then i keep ruining tires and that can get into alot of money. Almost forgot bought a new pump and sending unit yesterday for the front tank hopefully that will fix half the problem with the tanks.

Okay took the 87 up to the garage so they could get the work done and lo and behold the damn Rotors need replaced and two shocks are not the right size that go on the front they are to short. When it rains it Pours.
The way it's going your gonna end up with a whloe new truck when it's done. LOL Thats always the way it seems anyway, like you said when it rains it pours.
Okay got my truck back today it sits where it should they got the camber where it's not eating tires thank god but the Castor he wasn't able to get out it pulls to the right which i can live with for awhile. I get my other two shocks wedsday morning so it nows rides way better and looks better with the front level now and sitting on the ground. No offence to the guys that have theirs lowered.
Glad to hear you finally got it back. Hope it all works out. With it pulling to the right all the time it could almost be a political truck. You need to be careful and keep it in the center of the road. hehehe
If I remember right the caster/camber is adjusted by an ecentric upper ball joint, if they had to crank it all the way in for example to get the camber in check that don't allow any movement left for caster, at least that's why I can't get mine alinged after my "hillbilly lift" lol. Hence the need for a set of drop piviot brackets
Thanks guys well i am right handed snickerz the shop that did it could only go 4 and 1/4 and i think as he explained it that it now 5 and 1/2 he suggested that i go to another place here town that does alignments. So when i can afford it i'll take it there to hopefully correct the castor. I'm just thankful it's not eating tires. I will have to replace the two tires that were on the front one is not as bad but one is ate pretty good goes from full on the inside to almost nothing on the outside they did put the good tires from the back to the front. And no on the A arms what was replaced was the shocks,springs,inner/outer bearings.new rotors. Now if i could have had the money to just buy a 6 inch lift all that would have been replaced in the kit cept the bearings and rotors it would have been nice for new A arms and radious arms that are longer but unfortunately i didn't have the money.
