strange sound
I have a strange sound inside the cab of my 88 350 diesel dually.
It is not always there, but most of the time, and it does not matter whether the truck is moving or not and only with engine running.
The sound is a ping that sounds like sonar on a submarine. It occurs about every 35 to 45 seconds, does not speed up with higher rpm or speed of truck, and radio has no effect on it,on or off.
Sometimes it sounds like it is under the right side of dash, other times it seems to be coming from under the seat.( not seat belt warning either)
I have heard this for over 5 years, but PO says he never had heard it.
Anyone out there with this sound or any ideas?
