need help fast truck backfiring
I decided to take truck for a good long drive after getting injectors done over but long drive turned into a short one,just as i got up to highway speed the engine gave out a loud bang and a whole bunch of smoke out the tail pipe i thought the engine blew up it had no response on the throttle at all and i pulled over and it idled ok so i started out again and when i got up to speed again it did the same thing so i pulled over again and had to drive it home alittle under the speed limit but worked fine untill you stepped on it a little this sounds serious to me can anyone help.

Dude, as I posted before about your problems since the injector service, I fear you have either a injector not pulled all the way down and seated good or you have one or more with cut O rings. I would sure want to have this all checked before you do something really bad. When things back fire like you mentioned here, that ain't a good thing really. Good luck and please keep us posted on what you find too. I do hope I am wrong on this but it sounds in the right direction to look IMHO

One thing diesels don't do is backfire, so something ain't right. Hopefully they stand behind their work and good luck!

thats what i thought but you should of heard it first there was a loud bag and then aloud rattling noise and a whole bunch of black smoke,this is serious.

when i got there the head mechanic was not there so ijust told the workers and they said they would tell him my problem and would have a look at it,but iam going there tomorrow and finding out what is wrong.
