Rotten egg smell from cat?

How long does the smell usually last? I have put about 6000 mile on the new cat and it still smells. I tend to have my foot in the pedal alot so the smell is usually present.

The smell will last as long as you're still pumping unburned fuel into the cat. Fix the real problem and the smell will go away.

might need to replace your o2 sensors and plugs. might also look into an msd coil this will produce better spark at all rpms and burn the fuel better

Actually, the o2 sensor and the plugs are new, if anything my truck is running lean. I know that new cats smell for a while but I was just wondering for how long.
