I've only seen pictures of a funnycar being painted with them in an airbrush magazine, but they are supposed to work really well with coverage in one to two coats. Donna LOVES HOC's candy purple, that's what we are trying to come close to. Have you checked the 70's Mopar "Ultra-violet" high impact color? Also we have seen some possible purples on some Saturns, Hundais, Chev Beretta, and Merc Cougar.

I didn't see the Spring Mist Green or code W in my parts books for 1956 trucks, but it is in my car book and is shown at AutoColorLibrary.com. Was that big window repainted using the car color? Sounds like it would be a reasonable thing to do to stay within the fashion of the day. The Spring Mist Green looks to be just a little lighter than the Meadow Mist Green based on the car paint chips.

 

I would stick w/ the Olde Girls original colour/s?

 

Important Paint Chip Error On My Part

After mentioning that the car colors are not always the same as the truck colors by the same name, I went and included a bunch of car colors in the samples I posted earlier in this thread. I didn't notice the mistake until Abe asked me what color Earl was originally painted.

I have removed all the car green colors from the earlier post image and am left with only one verified truck green color as now shown. You may have to hit the refresh button on your browser to load the corrected image.

I apologize for any confusion this error may have caused and will try to avoid these kinds of slip-ups in the future.
