shocks

What do you guys run for shocks. I don't really want to pay $32 a shock for a total of $192. Is there a cheap way around it?

Stock or lifted? I've been looking & noticed the Rancho and Trailmaster shocks are quite a bit more expensive if you have to get the long ones, but I have 6 Monroe gas-matics on my pickup and like the ride on and off the road. I think they were around $22 each and have lasted for years. A guy at work swears that the $12 Gabriels work just as well as the higher priced shocks for stock trucks.

for a cruiser/ daily driver that is also a weekend mud slinger, a shock is a shock as long as it isnt blown out.....its when you get into hardcore racing/mudding/crawling that the high dollar brands are necessary for a better ride.....ive put many different shock brands on stock trucks and havent noticed much difference in the typical parts store brands.......its when you have radical lift mods and have to find the shocks with the right travel that you should look into the more costly ones........thats just my 3 cents.......

I'm putting a 6in lift on my Bronco. My buddy at the parts store said he may be able to find some that fit but don't know if that would cover the four up front.
