Need some help with the wiring of a 3G alt into my 84 F150 4.9. Off the back of the old alt are 3 wires, 1 black/orange & 1 black that run to the external regulator. And a yellow wire that I believe goes to the Engine Control Module.
I know to run batt. cable over to the batt. or starter solenoid with a mega fuse in line, but what about the other connections on the back of the 3G? It has a built in regulator. And what do I do with the old wires that are still connected at the other end?
hey go to fordfuelinjection.com
I think yellow go from line out back into the alt(to sense charge)
white has litle plug thay goes back on alt(stator)
green and red goes to charge indicator Green and red
