CB Radio advice

Howdy,
Mabey this is more of an audio forum question but i fould almost no threads about CB's so i'll post it here. Does anyone here have experiece with This CB? I like it because it has the box that can be mounted out of site. I would rather not have my CB mounted where everyone can see it for theft reasons and because i like my interior not all cluttered up. If you have one, about how big is the box that mounts under the dash? If that link doesnt work its part number COB-C75WXST and summitracing. If i dont get this one i will probably just get a cobra 25. What do yall think.

Never used one, but I've heard those type models (don't know about that specific one) can work pretty well for a basic setup. Not sure how well they can be peaked and tuned compared to a standard radio. You might try www.cbradioforum.com those guys on there are knowledgeable and helpful for this kind of question. Just search the posts first... someone else might have asked already.

Thanks for that sirte, i will go there later. I dont know that much about tuning one and all that so i will probably not mess with it. I just want a basic CB so i can communicate with my friends and other people that use CB's.

It's nice to have all the features available in your hand and most of the radio hidden, but usually the first thing to wear out on a CB is the mic cord. This might be easy to fix on this model, but it's something to think about.
