02 heater select ****

When I select the floor when heater is on, there is at least as much air going up on the windshield as is going on the floor. I took it to Ford and the replaced the selector **** but it still blows on the windshield in the floor position also. Is this normal 02 Ford f150

I had something happen very similiar to this. my truck would only blow cold air. I replaced both the **** and the switch. It turned out the **** was cracked and the switch shaft was stripped. (It should have a "d" shape to it.) Maybe try using pliers to rotate (gently- don't breake it) and see if you get anything different from it. Then you'll know for sure if it's the above problem or not. It sounds like it's stuck on "defrost/ floor " I hope this is helpful!

I have a '99 F150 and one day I was taking the dash apart to see what it looked like inside.(Because I am a Ford Fanatic) anyways when I took the adapter out of the back of the selector **** hole I heard air release. I felt kinda worried about it but later when I finished putting everything back together; I turned the key but didn't turn the truck on and the selector would only blow on the floor and defrost setting. I was very worried at this time, but I cranked the truck up and it started working correctly. Now I said all that to say that it could be that the adapter is bad, or maybe the adapter is in backwards(though I doubt that). I have also had the same problem that tuske427 had but I went and bought a new **** for 8.89 and it's been fine since. I hope that something I said could help you in some way.
