Oil is leaking from the bottom of the inspection cover on the trans-dealer stated that it is coming from the inter cooler tubes and is not covered under warranty-does any body have similar please advise
1. The intercooler tubes are nowhere near the inspection plate
2. If an intercooler tube WAS leaking, it's so loose it should have blown off by now.
3. If you have that much oil in you intercooler tubes you have a bigger problem than an oil leak.
Now, there's some things YOU can do to help the rather inept dealer. Get a flashlight and crawl on top of the motor. Look right down in the middle (the "valley"). See a pool of oil? If you do, then the culprit is most likely the HPOP or turbo pedestal o-rings. If you don't then it is probably the rear main seal. Either way, the notion that the intercooler tubes are leaking sounds fishy to me. And ANY oil leak should be covered under warranty. Might I suggest another dealer?
Ranch9 is right, but there are also a few other places on top of the engine that can leak, and create a puddle under the truck. There's a test plug on the back of the HPOP that seals against the HPOP housing with an O-ring. There are also the fittings to the oil rails from the HPOP.
Realize that there's a weep hole at the rear of the valley, and any oil accumulation will eventually go down the weep hole, and exit underneath the truck directly in front of the torque convertor inspection cover. It can easily look like you've got a blown rear main seal, or leaking pan gasket, when in reality, your leak is 2' up, and 3' forward.
Start at the top in looking for your leak, and definitely find another dealer to work on your truck.
Thanks for the info will go else where for warranty service work. Could you please define HPOP? I will look in this area for source of oil leak.

I to thought there diagnosis was questionable- the service rep stated that oil can be pulled in from the crank case through a vent? into the intercooler tubes as you stated it would have to be alot of oil and the fittings very loose to leak oil in any quantity- will look closer in area suggested

I recenlty took my 01' Ex PSD to dealer for oil leak. Looked as though it was dripping from inspection plate. The steamcleaned and put dye in and it came out of the intercooler tube near the clamp. Tightened the clamp and no more leak. Although this work was covered under warranty, the cost was less than the $100 deductible i paid and they sent me a check for $18.
No more leaky.
They said occassionally tighten all the tube clamps, because they come loose time to time.
Maybe the aircleaner is clogged up to 75% and the crankcase gases have satuated the valve cover groumets and are leaking into the valley then back down the weep hole. This is the crap the dealer service manage told me after replacing every seal possible ($1256.00). Still waiting for the truck to read for pickup. 99F350 dw crew 7.3 37k
As Rancha9 said earlier, If you have enough oil coming from and intercooler tube to leak under the truck you've got some serious problems.
Damone, how long ago was this done? Perhaps when they steamcleaned the engine they remove the puddle of oil in the valley and it just has not accumulated enough again yet to reach the weep hole???
Highly doubt the intercooler tubes are the source. More likely as mentioned above by Quad and Rancha
Good luck!
