On the brighter side, I made a good score the other day. A friend has a mid-'80s Ford F-250 4X4, lifted, built 460, and body rot. He just picked up another F-250 4X4 with a good body for a parts truck. He wants me to change out the bodies for him, and wanted to know how much I'd charge him. I asked him what he was going to do with the engine and trans out of the new truck, and he said if I wanted them, I could have them. I said I'd do the swap for the engine and trans, he said okay, but he'd feel better if he threw in a couple hundred bucks as well. The engine? A Banks turboed 6.9 diesel. Looks like a good swap for my '72 F-250. Gonna see if I can talk him out of the Gear Vendors O/D unit as well. Looks like I've got my next project lined up after I get the Ranger 5.0 swap done! -TD

ahhh man I drooling now... just remember to beef up the front of your old 250 that deisel engine is HEAVY
