Aod into 86 F150

Aod into 86 F150
I need some advice. I have an 86 F150 with a C6. The trans just went out and I want to replace it with an AOD. I know I need to use the AOD with the longer tailhousing, 11 1/2" I think. What I don't know is how long of a driveshaft I need and if I an going to have any problems with the shift linkage. Thanks for you help!!!!
