I have the short bed 250 . I have fit 32 gallons in mine . I was on fumes and very happy I made it to the next station . I think the tube down to the tank holds 1.5 gallon . I wish I could afford the transflo 46 gallon tank . It fits in the same space as the factory tank . Just imagine the range with a 46 gallon tank .

I have a long box thats supposed to hold about 38-39 galons. With the width of the needle sitting just above empty I can only put in 29 gals. Is there that much left after empty or do I hav a problematic fuel guage? My display at that point shows about 50 miles to empty.
