D 44 question

my buddie has a couple scouts and they run D44s in the back and I want to take the posi out of one and put it in my 44...will I run into any problems with it being from a rear 44 into my front 44?

I doubt it should matter. Friction plates should not care which direction they are turning. As long as the spline count is right.
