i recently bought a 79 truck with a 460ci engine. it has a 2v carb on it with an adapter plate. it has 2763 stamped in the front of the fuel bowl, fuel line hooks in the front top right side of bowl(standing in front facing engine). on the left front top is another hookup looking like it could go into the acc pump??? someone has a rubber line on it and plugged off with a spark plug in the other end??? i have searched the holley site and cant find a carb that looks like this one. the truck runs ok with this setup untill i get into the pedal pretty good then it just falls on it's face. i'm thinking this carb may not have enough cfm's for the engine but i dont know what it is to be sure. i know there are 2v carbs in the 6-700 cfm ranges. any clues as to what this carb is would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance, Eddie II

i found a pic of the carb in question on one of holley's pages but still cant find out what it is. anyone interested in helping please click on this link and scroll down just a little. you'll see pics of superchargers and etc. the bottom left carb looks like mine except i dont seem to have the electrical connector shown there. http://www.holley.com/Catalogs/HR2002/HR1-8.pdf
i dont know what you have, but im under the impression that holley only has 2 sizes of 2bbl carbs, the 380cfm and the 500cfm, my 500cfm 2bbl looks just like a 4bbl on the front, with the fuel inlet on the passenger side, but it has the bigger 50cc accelerator pump, you might have some crazy OEM holley that came off of something else cause someone wanted better mileage.......if i were you id sell that one and buy a 750 holley vacuum secondary, if you have a stock intake you will need a spacer plate for a 4bbl, i used a spreadbore to squarebore adapter as a spacer....with a 750 holley and the timing at 12-14*BTDC that motor wont fall on its face anymore....mine doesnt and i have a 780cfm holley 4bbl on my stock 460....
swokcoffroader, the 460 is cammed, edelbrock performer 460 intake, headers, dual exhaust. it had a 750 on it till the PO took it off to use on something he had. the timing is at 14btdc also. did you look at the link i posted??? the carb on it looks like the one i have. it also has holley made into the plate over the fuel bowl so i dunno if it is an oem rebuild??? thanks for the reply, Eddie II
