Got the new F350 KR CC 6.0 PSD LB SRW yesterday and wouldn't try to get in in the garage 'till someone was there to watch the top. My '04 barely got in with the clearance lights and the '05 is 1.7 inches higher(by the specs.). It fits! Barely tho, 4 inches at the rear bumper, and enough room to squeeze by the front with the garage door down. Can't tell you how nice it was, in the garage, Jimi doin' Purple Haze on the 6 disc changer, cold cerveza close to hand. Can't forget to remove the trailer hitch when parking in the garaqe...

I'm going to order a 05 F250 Crew 4x4 w/18" tires tomorrow and was wondering if it was going to fit in my garage. I saw the specs in the brochure but wasn't sure how accurate they are.
Do you have a standard 84" height for your garage door?

I measured to be sure, 82". Antenna drags on the opened door...
mine clears by 1 inch with out roof lamps. antenna hits the open door . 6 inches in the back 2 feet in front and its a swb one. ford needs to lower them jus a bit but then they won't look as cool.
Geeez that's a close fit, and I have a weather strip around my door which only gives me 83" in height. I've been going back and forth on the 17 or 18" rims, maybe I will just go with the 17" ones - easier on the brakes, less expensive, more tires available now and will fit in garage a little nicer.
We get alot of ground frost up here in the north, I'd hate to have my slap lift up or have snow build-up some winter and scrape the paint off the roof of my truck.
Congrats on the new KR! The only way my 05 Lariat will fit will require a new sectional garage door and moving my 69 Judge out of the garage, wife refuses to give up her side of the garage. I guess I'll have to pour a pad on the side of the house and erect on of those canopies.
must be nice... i can't seem to fit my F-750 through the door... the top of the door hits about at the bottom of my windshield... LOL
ummm...30X40 shop building with a 10' rollup door might do it. As for 17" vs. 18" rims, I had to go with the KR 18's and it barely fits under the 82" header, but would definately go with the 17's on the F250 just for the tire availibility. My '04 F350 Lariat came with 16's, but I never had a chance to upgrade to the many choices in 16" tires since the truck was totaled with only 17,000 miles on it.

Thanks, AuRevoir, and yes, the new sectionals actually park higher than the header on the opening. I'd hate to have to park another car alongside "His Majesty" on the two car side and I'm lucky that Mama deferred to the single door side. I bought a bunch of 7X16 tube framed, plywood sheathed garage doors for $10 bucks each (removed for sectional upgrades) and put up a 'three door' carport for the Baja and the '46 Chevy pickup(oops, did I say Chevy?). Carport cost me 300.00 and 200.00 of that was for my two helpers. BTW, have I lost all credibility with the Chevy disclosure?
yeah, I can get it in my Shop, it has a 12' door... but that's no fun!
But, its all fun 'till someone shoots their eye out! Pardon my humor but I've been called the 'King of Corn'...besides, you need that shop to park 5plusfordtrucks!
