Instrument panel wiring code for a '78
I put a complete '78 E150 wiring system, including dash, in my 55 F100. I am now updating to a new wiring kit (EZ Wire). I have done this kit 4 other vehicles, but have run into a slight problem this time.
I am retaining the stock ('78) instrument panel, and have to mate up the new wiring to the old at the big plug which plugs into the rear of the instrument panel. I have the shop manuals for a '79, but they don't have an electrical schematic.
What I need are the breakdowns of the wire colors for the dash plug (the gauges, signal/high beam indicators, etc.).
If anyone knows what they are, I would appreciate it. I really thought the shop manual would have this info, but it doesn't.
I could, as a last resort, take out the dash and test the back of the panel, but I really don't want to have to do this, if possible.

A Haynes manual will help somewhat with a schematic.
Any Blue w/red stripe wire is for cluster lighting.... plus, heater control,ash tray lights.
Does the truck have or do you want cruise control ?
