Question hello

i have recently had to replace the cam assembly in my 98 3.0 because the "vane" was sheared off completely. I got #1 to TDC but cannot figure out where the "vane" is supposed to point at this point....can get really really close but pop codes like crazy. My question is if anyone has a picture of what the "vane" looks like when #1 is at TDC could you email it to me...please???? I have been to multiple web sites and they range from 10* BTDC to 26*ATDC to set #1 at then drop the cam assembly straight in with the "pick up" at 30* then place the sensor on and the computer will take care of the rest( not happening this way tho) this is also the "vrs" type , the smaller one.
thank you in advance
