Ron,
Most vinyl shops use .eps or encapsulated post script files. The reason for this is these files are just vector images. You can blow them up as large or shrink as small as you want and they will always be clear as they just use point to point rendering.
Programs such as Corel Draw can import and export .eps files.
I can get in touch with the sign shop, but it will be after the 22nd. I will be out of town until then. (Going to Vegas next Thursday but loading, testing and shipping equipment before then)
