Fuel pressure regulator
How I now if my fuel pressure regulator is working fine???
I have one problem on my bronco 2, when I press the gas the car works at 2500 rpm (example) but when I leave the gas and press the clutch the car go to 2500-2800 rpm for 2 or 3 seconds, later go down to 1000 rpm, it's the same thing every time when I drive my car, What can be the problem?

1) Run engine, then pull the vacuum line off of the FPR. If there's gas in said vacuum line, then the FPR is bad.
2) Measure fuel pressure. A properly functioning FPR will maintain 40 +/- 5 psi KOEO, and a few psi lower at idle (with vacuum line hooked up. Vacuum line disconnected, It should maintain the same value as KOEO).
Idle problems like that could easily be a vacuum leak somewhere or other fault. It seems the best place to start with these (in addition to testing fuel pressure) is to pull codes. Only requires a paper clip. See Ken00's tech info post for instructions.
