I am troubled b/c I have a 95 5.8 with speed density. I have gt-40 heads, shorty headers, a k&N intake kit, and an exhaust to install. Called Ford Motorsports just to check if all this will work with my stock computer.
The guy told me an emphatic "NO" and told me I would have to buy a Mass Air Conversion kit from FMS. He said I would be running very lean unless I change to mass air. I asked what he thought of eec tuners like the tweecer, and he replied that he had never heard of that and didn't know anything about them. That answer bothers me b/c the tweecer is a part of the lexicon for perfromance for ford efi motors. I wonder if he knew what he was talking about from the beginnnig.
So...will the gt-40 heads, k&n intake, fms shorty headers and an exhaust work with my stock speed density settings or must I look at a tweecer?
I didn't think so, although I would like a tweecer
I didn't think so, although I would like a tweecer. I just don't have the cash. I thought about 1.7 roller rockers but I will just wait till it hits 125k and build up a serious motor. These mods are just to give me a little more pop.
