Running board

The black paint is wearing off of my running board on my 04 FX4 Screw, it is only on the drivers side where I step to get in and out. I have not hit anything because the wearing off of the paint is vertical and smooth. I got my truck in October and it only has 12,000 miles on it.
Should this be covered under the warranty?

I doubt it.You may want to consider having them powder coated.Much more durable. The clear coat is coming off my polished step bars and thats what I'm considering.Maybe white to match truck,or gold to match grill.

I would say yes if they are Ford running boards you have a bumper to bumper
warranty for 3 years or 36000 miles.

I think Ford will probably paint or replace it.However, unless powder coated or coated with something like Line X it will proably wear again.Good Luck!
