no start when cold
Hi out there, I just bought this `99`psd .(in england) it is reluctant to fire up first thing on a cold day (yes i know every day is cold here and the beer warm) I have fitted two new 800 amp batteries,checked the cables,the glow plugs seem to be ok,the motor doesnt seem to turn very fast but some times spins over really quickly and starts,it start ok for the rest of the day but still seems slow to turn over.jump leads dont make any difference.I have removed the starter motor and sent it to be checked/overhauled. I havent had the starter back yet so dont know if this will cure it ,so what I want to know is are these batteries big enough.also what engine oil and auto transmission fluid should I use...Great truck though,they seem to be getting very popular over here.thanks in advance.Chris.

no start cold.
I got the starter motor back from the recon bloke who said it was completely jiggered ,he did recon on it for 40 quid (cheap here) and it now spins over so fast that it fires up before I get the key in!
