I have an 89 F-150 short bed - I want to lift it and possibly put bigger tires on. I am new to this - what should I do? Any good brands of springs? How much will this cost?
Also - the engine is "missing" - or so I am told. It does not run smooth - jerks forward when driving. What do I need ot do?
As far as a lift goes Superlift is very good and they almost seem to be a company meant for Ford trucks. They come with everything needed or there is a seperate kit for that(ie steering drop linkage etc).If you are only looking to go up a size or two try ie from 30 to 32 or 33 try a 3" body lift about $1000 cheaper and be put on in a couple of hours.
Now as far as it "missing" the description is a little vague but start with a tune up(new plugs wires distibutor cap etc).If that doesnt work let me know and I can help with a better description of how and when it does the missing.
If you decide that the body lift is for you let me know I threw one on my truck last month and can give you a few pointers that will save you some time.
