just got a 2005 escape. the xls blast package, blazing copper color. just have to say, that is the smoothest riding vehicle ive ever been in. you cant even tell when you hit a pothole or speed bump in it. very pleased with it so far.
Congrats! Did you get the auto or stick tranny? I wanted the 05 copper XLS since they don't make yellow anymore. But after having owned a chrome yellow 02 Escape, the spouse promised a divorce. So I'm stuck with dark shadow grey. I did notice the Mustang GT comes in screaming yellow though...
Congrats! We've had our '05 Escape for about a year now (one of the first to get one), and we are very pleased with it. Very easy riding, good lookin' little rig.
its an auto tranny. its the wifes new car really, but im just as excited about it as she is lol. we wanted to get a stick, but the blazing copper color only comes in the xls blast package, and the blast package only comes with an auto tranny. so you cant even get a stick with the copper. she was trying to decide between the mazda tribute and the escape. i was praying she would get the ford, but didnt want to talk her into it lol.
--You coulda gotten a stick in a copper Tribute, though...
yeah, but a tribute doesnt say ford on the front ill never own anything but a ford, and the wife will never own anything but a ford or a mazda. she'd be all ford too, if ford had a decent car besides the mustang. the focus caters to the import crowd(fast and furious type cars), the taurus is quite possible the most plain car ever made(besides the gremlin), the 500 is for old people, and who wants to pay 40k for a tbird. she liked the tribute too, but liked the way the excape looked a lot better.
tim, im just glad i got her converted over to ford now. her dad wont drive anything but an olds. and he bought her a car (olds alero) a while back to keep her from buying a ford on her own. 3 years later and thousands of dollars of parts to fix the thing(rebuilt engine, new tranny, two bad wheel bearings, etc), she went with a ford. her dad rode in it one time, and said hes buying an excape for his next car.
