Need help ASAP with engine change!!!

I have a 91 ford f-150 4by4 with a 302 automatic in it.The motor blew up so I bought a 1985 mercury colony park with a 302 cfi.I have switched intakes and oilpan and all acc. already.I noticed on the 91 302 behind the intake there is a sensor I believe to be a knock sensor. The 85 motor has no place for this sensor. What do I do just leave that plug unpluged or what.I am putting motor in tommorrow and need answers ASAP.Also can I delete my smog and shortbelt the truck what size belt will I need?

You can plug in the knock sensor electrically and just tie it up out of the way. This way the computer doesn't complain about it not being there. You can deletee the smog pump too, just leave the TAD and TAB solenoids plugged in electrically, again to keep the computer happy.
