Need some help as I am not getting it from the tech folks at Superchips... Here is the deal... Ford saids I have the latest updates (through Sept. 2004) Superchips said the problem is with "not having a current update"... When I try to load the tuner gives this reading, " tuner needs update" Code E6D VXAM7N2 TQASONZ
If the flash in your truck is later than one that the Superchips tuner knows about, it needs to be sent back to the factory for an update.
The tuner saved a copy of the Ford flash in its memory so when you send it back to Superchips they can update the SC software to work properly with this new Ford version. They'll then add this to their library of Ford flashs out there.
This is normal and I believe that they even pay shipping both ways if you have proof of purchase for the tuner.
More information on this topic can also be found under the SCMT tuner sticky thread.
