New car stereo
just bought me a new car stereo today at BestBuy. real nice one too. Its been 11 years since I bought a car stereo.
Im so excited, I just had to share
Its a CD player, but not any ordinary one.
Its a JVC KD-DV5100 that has:
Flip Down Face/Detachable
Rotary Encoder
MOS-FET Power Amp
CD Changer(MP3)Control
WMA/MP3(TAG) on DVD-R/DVD-RW/CD-R/CD-RW/
Plays DVD's and CD's
Line Input(AUX)
Visual Output(Video)
Front AUX Input
Line Output(Rear) for dual sound zones
20W RMSx4(50Wx4 MAX.)
It does DTS 2.0+Digital Out(fiber optic), Dolby Digital
Is SIRIUS ready
All this and I paided $269.00
I just installed it today and it is awsome,.. altho, i dont have a monitor (they are expensive). The sound is awsome. my brother has a little portable tv we hooked up to it and i put a DVD in. On the THX menu, I went to setup the THX sound and let it do its surround sound test.
The JVC unit is hooked up to the 4 factory speakers, but when i did the THX test,.. it sounded like i had a 7.1. The radio is awsome.I am so impressed with this JVC unit and how much money it costs compared to other CD/MP3 players. its easy to see where they cut corners to achieve this. The flip mechanism is manual not motorized but way smooth,as it is detatchable. There are not alot of fancy worthless graphics in the display, the display numbers are old style,.. but it seems that JVC put the technology were it counts and saved money on cut'n the extra fancy smancy display stuff out.
A real great buy for the money,.. if anyone is in the market for a new car CD player, its worth a look. I got mine with a 4yr service plan for $40.00 more.
I love the DVD-RW/MP3---500+ songs on 1 disc
hehe althou, I dont know alot about the new radios these days but I am happy with the one I got.
