Google "The Ford Falcon News". They have a message board with lots of information archived, and I'm sure everything you need is there. I learned a lot from them when I was shopping for a Falcon (ultimately didn't buy one).

My may want to check out forums on the Ranchero on this site. My girlfrend in high school had a 61 Ranchero that her father had put in a 289 hi-pro with a 4 speed. I drove this alot back in 1971 and it did not have any problems, but was a lot of fun for a pair of 16 year olds.
