Gas tank capacity
I have an 85 F-150, 2WD, 6 cyl, manual transmission, regular cab, single tank. Does anyone have the specs on how big the gas tank is? My gas gauge is like many others have posted here - i.e. junk. I haven't had the guts to run it out of gas to see how much it holds.

You told us everything except the one thing we need to know, long bed or short bed?
But.... a short bed normally has a 16gal and a long bed has a 19gal, that is if it is a midship tank (runs along the driverside frame rail forward of the rear end). If you have a tank between the frame rails behind the rear end then it is 19gal.

You know, I thought about that, but for some reason the brain and the fingers just didn't connect.
It is a long bed, with the tank that runs along the driver's side frame rail. So 19 gallons it is. Thanks!
