I know there are a bunch of old threads about this but the search wasnt working on my computer.
With diesel prices being so dam high im sure im not the only one to think of a conversion to run on vegetable oil.
What is involved in converting a NA 7.3 IDI to run on grease? Where do you buy the oil? Is power reduced significantly?
I've heard that the power won't change much at all. I think you need an additional fuel heater and possibly a second fuel filter dedicated to the grease. I've seen trucks driving around with big 300 gal tanks with it for sale, they come to you. There are also about 10 place around town to get it. I have not checked prices lately, last time I did it was very close to fuel prices, and I bet greedy people are keeping the prices up. Portland, OR
