A few questions about this part. What is the benifit of having this?
How does it work? Is it harmful to the tranny? How much do they run and what is a good one to have?
The main reason for the T/C lock is when decending hills the T/C will unlock after a few seconds, or if you tap the brakes. by manually locking it you can take full advantage of the engine braking affect. another "benefit" is if you have a good set of pipes and a chip, which you do, you can lock it up at super low speed, like 3 mph and make the motor really snort, and blow some smoke.
It is kinda a shock on the tranny and drive line, but if you are not realy into the throttle when you lock it, it wont hurt to bad. also if you lock it at a real low speed you can slip it, thus burning up you t/c. I can only slip mine if I am powerbraking and really roasting the tires and i try to lock, it will just slip.
