A couple of days ago I noticed that my brake lights were not coming on so I did some searching and I found out that it was my brake switch on the peddle. So I checked out how much it would be to replace and only about 12 bucks.... So I did what every other redneck would do I took it apart and 15 min later and some solder and fixed.
Than just yesterday I was at my inlaws and parked the Bronco and my rad was puking out antifreeze. So after kicking the tires and looking at it for a bit all I could come up with was a blown head because when I had the rad cap off the antifreeze was pulsing out of the rad.
Well I ended up finding out that the thermostate was stuck closed.... ...my fail safe ya FAIL SAFE thermostate was stuck closed.
Well good thing that I am a true redneck and I always have a spare engine.(blown of coarse) in the garage and a bunch of body parts filling the shed in the backyard. So I just pulled the thermostate out of it and fixed it........
I sure hope that this is a sign of how this year is going to run because I have alot of parts off a parts truck I got rid of last year that I have to get onto my truck but I never wanted to do anything untill anything broke
Just had to let you guys know how my week went...............
my week sucked.... i was drivin down the interstate comin home from work in this recent snow storm on tuesday.. and i was drivin across some ice at just the right time and a gust of wind cought the back end, which sent me fishtailing, which tunred into a 360, then i hit a sign and found myself in 5 feet of snow deep in the ditch. lol.. the pull of for the tow truck was 100$!! then come to find out that the stupid lil green reflecter post that i hit had bounced back up befor it got ripped off and took out my oilpan : (( 600$ for parts a labor...i hate the snow.....or just the wind. to bad i work to much to fix crap myself anymore.
My week has been going great... I fixed the transfer case on the new 89 and that cured the funny noise that it made when I test drove it right before shelling out to buy it. But as I too am a redneck...I took the spare junked transfer case that was in the garage and used the good parts outta both the make a good t-case. Now I am in the process of filling up the garage with parts off the 88 that I am parting out. Hope you guys have a better week next week.
