More lift kit problems.........

Well, after my last post, my problems continued. To start over....i replaced my blocks in the rear of my 94' F150 shortbed with a full spring lift. Now my truck sits alot higher in back. My question was....can i run a leveling kit on top of a suspension lift. According to the guy a 4wheelparts.com it would "throw everything out of wack". is this true? also, what are my other options for lifting the front. Can i run larger coils? and if so....where in the world do i find ones custom to my truck? THanks alot for the help guys, anything and everything is greatly apprecieated. I need some opinions.

We need some specifics. If you already have a suspension lift, say 4" and your brackets are already drilled for 6", then either pick up the taller springs or the daystar spacers (i'd go with the longer coil) and move the TTB down to the 6" location.

Its a 6" lift from superlift. So really its lifted 6" in front and 4 in the rear. With the new leafs in back, its about 2inches higher in the rear. I wasnt too sure about running spacers in conjunction with a sususpension lift, and i called 4wheelparts, and the tech supporter said it would "throw everything out of wack". If i did go with 2" bigger coils, where would i have those made.I doubt they would be an easy find. Thanks for the help.

Well, the 2" extra lift, Either way you choose, 2" spacers are 2" taller coils, will adversly affect your alignment. It might be possible to bring the alignment back into spec with the offset camber bushings. I think broncograveyard sells 8" lift coils.

I would not , REPEAT WOULD NOT, use coil spacers on the the front coils spring on the TTB front axle. IF you need to level your ride height, do it in the rear spring packs ONLY!!! IF your rearend is higher than the front, you may be able to remove one or two leaves fron the rear pack to level the ride. This will reduce carrying capacity, but soften the spring rate. Start from the bottom and go up. IF you have ANY block under the spring pack, remove those before taking out any springs. After you're satisfied with the ride height, check the driveshaft-pinion yoke angle to be sure it's zero, so you don't blow thru u-joints every month. I had a similar problem on my Bornco lift, but in reverse. I added a 1" block to level the ride and correct the ds angle.
