Too Much Gas

On my way out to work today I stalled halfway out of my driveway. I re-started and my 96 Bronco, it hesitated and stalled again. I started a third time and let it idle for a minute and then it seemed to be fine. I noticed a strong odor of gas. Bottom line I think I am getting way to much fuel when I first start my day. I put on over 100 miles the rest of the day and no issues. Any Ideas? Thanks

Remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and see if you detect any gas. Like JBroco posted, sounds like the FPR.

I'm not to proud to ask, where is it and what does it look like.

I'm not positive, but I think it is on the drivers side near the rear of the engine. It's located on the fuel rail (Long tube that has the injectors on it on the intake manifold) and has a vacuum line running to the top. Looks kind of like an onion usually.

Smile Update

Thanks for the help. I replaced the FPR yesterday and this morning she ran great. I think that was it, problem solved.

Another one for JBronco (he remarked modestly).
