Unhappy fuel shut off

do 86 ford f150's have an automatic shut off valve and if so where is it located.
I just put a new motor in a ford f 150 and it keeps flooding out in ideas on how to fix it.

When you say "automatic shut off valve",you lost me.It would have an inertia switch in the cab,but that would'nt cause it to flood,it would shut fuel off if it was tripped.
Have you hooked everything up correctly-By the manual[You do have a manual, right?]
Give us all the info.you can the first time, when posting.
Fuel pressure regulator?

what type of gas are you putting in it? the cheap 87 octane?
try putting in the 89 for at least 1 tank and see if it settles out a bit.
might improve your mileage also.

if that doesn't help, i'd check the timing.
