ABS problems
I did a search already and didn't find my exact problem. Sorry I don't know all the specs on the truck because it belongs to a friend of mine but its a '98 F-150 2WD with rear wheel only ABS and a v-8 engine. The ABS light is blinking continuosly when the truck is running. The fuse (#13 I think) that goes to the abs is blown and will blow instantly if you put in another one. The blown fuse prevents moving the gearshift out of park (unless you start it in neutral). The brake lights are not working. There seems to be a faint smell of burnt wires in the area of the master cylinder and engine fuse box. Thanks for your help

I'm pretty sure that the brake light power is what controls the ability to remove the trans from park. I would start there. If you can find a cause you might just solve the other problems.
Chasing an electrical short is a pain. Get your fire extinguisher and plug in a fuse with twice the rating,
