I changed my transmissions fluid (4 speed T19 manual), the haynes manual says it holds 7 quarts, but it only took about 4 1\2 to 5 quarts. So Im thinking the rest is in the torque converters? I dont even know if manual transmissions have torque converters, do they? And if so dose anyone know how to drain one in a T19 trans?

Ok - not a 4X4. Does the PTO come out of the trans or does it come out of some kind of extension on the trans case. I read somewhere on FTE about a Transfer case kinda thing being used for PTO. I'm still fixated on this Tcase kinda thing being the fluid you changed. Mostly because the amount you used matches up close to what my '93 manual says would be used in a PTO equipped 4X4 Tcase.
Its a Borg Warner T19 Transmission, and has PTO openings on both sides. Im guessing the PTO takes up some space inside the trans. I also pumped in the fluid which causes air bubbles. I'll try topping it off later today.
