i just put a new timing chain& gears in my 80 f-150. the only thing is that the new chain has no deflection, it is extremely tight. it is so tight that advancing the crankshaft damper is near impossible. my question is if i was sold the wrong chain/gear or is this normal for a new set to be this tight and will loosen up over time. thanks for your time.

 

nevermind, the crankshaft gear was backwards, everythings fine
