vacuum lines replacement

Thanks everybody for you help on last post. New EGR valve fixed rough riding.
I got a ford code reader too and diagnosed a busted vacuum line on my air bypass valve which I passed together and truck runs good now.

Im looking to replace my emissions vacuum lines cause 2 of them are partially blocked from melting and all are very brittle.
Where can I get replacements or substitutes. I have the little boots on the ends. Ive been to the ford dealer and they say I cant get them and to just get "any vacuum lines". I can cut off the ends of the boots and use other line to patch it.

My main question is can I get the exact same lines still without going to a junkyard(they might be brittle and old too)

Thanks

Steve

The more rigid plastic lines are almost impossible to come by. I am not aware of anyone making them aftermarket. But then they do get old and brittle as you can tell. Standard rubber replacement line is all I have ever used and the temperature changes under the hood suggest that rubber will hold up longer than the plastic.

I have used sections of BIC pens in long vacuum runs under the hood that need support to keep them from falling near hot surfaces and moving parts. This way you can use clips or wire ties around the section of pen to hold the line up out of the way without running the risk of crushing the line.
