Trouble with Steering Column
I picked up a 1991 F-250 lariot with Auto trans and 5.8 engine. I have been trying to find a replacement steering column since mine was rotted at the bottom of the shaft. The problem is that 2 salvage column's I have found have not been the match they have been different at the bottom. The origional one did not have overdrive and had the shift on the column which would make this a Auto C6 no tilt no overdrive. But both replacements I found are incorrect. My origional column had the shaft from inside the bottom column all the way to the flex coupler in the engine compartment about 17-19" long all of the replacements have been much shorter and seem to end at the firewall? Can someone help me with this?
