Overdrive Conversion
Howdy ya'll! I've got a question. The truck is an '87 F-150 with EFI 5.0L. It has the C6 tranny. Can you put in a later model overdrive transmission? What would you have to change? I'm a Mustang guy, so when I've helped friends change their trannys it's been from AOD to T-5. Would you have to change the computer at all? The only time I've changed a tranny from non-overdrive to OD was putting a Tremec 3550 in a '84 GT, but it wasn't EFI so it didn't have a computer to mess with.
