minor leak

Curious, is the oil pressure sending unit a common place for the 3.0 to sprout a leak? My service tech said he "thinks" that is where I have a leak. Is it something I would have to replace or can I just tighten it up? And one last thing where the heck is it on a 96 3.0?

It is at the TOP of the trail of oil if it is what is leaking. Very few of them ever leak. If they do it is from the plastic coming loose from the brass and so it could be called an internal leak! Replace it and see if the guy was correct.

Not a lot of help there Jim. Specifically where is it located, judging from the oil leak it is somewhere on the passenger side block, somewhat up high.

It's on the back passengers side of the block. Remember the oil will travel down and towards the back of the truck.
