more E4OD PROBLEMS

Hi all, I have a 92 351W w/E4OD. About a year ago every now and then, say once a month I would be driving it around 65 and it would down shift to 2nd and then right back into 3rd as I drive most of the time w/ OD off (35's). Seemed like it would only do it on Hot days??? It quit doing that and now you get in it 1 day and shifts hard and the next shifts normal. It is not throwing any codes and the OD light is not flashing. Every now and then it jumps out of gear while shifting to 2nd and as I let off the gas it drops back in HARD! I'm not sure where to start could use a little help. The tranny was rebuilt about 40k ago. I changed fluid and filter (both looked fine) still the same.

Thanks for any help.......

My 94 E40D was doing something similiar...I noticed that in the lower gears it would shift really hard, and in it would not stay in OD. Sometimes it would not go into overdrive at all.

The hard shifting was caused the torque converter having gone bad...the transmissions computer was bumping up the fluid pressure to try and compensate for the slipping...My father, not knowing this was bad, drove it for another year, and destroyed the transmission.
