steering box

i just got a 1985 f150 and the steering box is leaking i was wondering if a steering box out of a 1980 e150 would work. as far as i can tell they are the same

I believe that they will. Check every part to make sure that everything will line up. These steering boxes are notorious for leaking at the sector shaft. Check the doner box for leaks also. Normally, replacing the box is the easiest way to go. Good luck. Jake.
