leaf spring squeak driving me crazy!!!

For the past 8 months or so the back end of my f-150 has been squeaking. I have pinpointed the noise to be coming from the leaf springs i think, but do not know what i can do to stop the noise. One person i talked to said i need to replace the plastic spacers in between each spring, i have no idea where i would buy them or if anyone makes them
Anyone else had similar problems?? Any help would be apprieciated.
Thanks

I would bet that you can get them right from Ford. I know you can for Dodge. SOmetimes a good spring shop will have a line on them as well.

my 97 did the same thing. it was the clamps that fit around the leafs. i just fastened 2 hose clamps togather and put them over the clamp and tightened it and havent heard it since.

My 97 did that. I replaced the plastic spacers that I bought from Ford and haven't had the problem since.

I think they were about $17 dollars a side. Instalation was farely easy. I took the weight off of the springs by jacking up the truck by the frame and used a pry bar to help seperate them a little. Hardest part was getting the clamps back on that go around the springs.
